Located in Broward County, Florida, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood’s sister property, Seminole Coconut Creek (formerly known as Mardi Gras Casino), is a 188-acre gaming complex situated approximately three miles north of the main highway. This article provides an overview of the facilities and amenities offered by this casino.

Property Overview

Seminole Coconut seminolecasinococonutcreek.ca Creek opened in 1979 under the name Mardi Gras Casino, operated by Entertainment Cruise Productions (ECP). In 2008, ECP was sold to Gulfstream Park Corporation, leading to significant changes in ownership. Subsequently, it passed into the hands of the Seminole Tribe of Florida in a $560 million transaction finalized on December 22, 2013.

The casino’s property underwent renovations following its acquisition by the Seminoles, introducing new amenities and updating existing ones. This rebranding aimed to establish a fresh identity distinct from its predecessor while retaining key elements that make it an attractive destination for patrons.

Casino Floor and Games

With over 2,400 slot machines, table games are not as prominent within this casino compared to the gaming floor’s size. However, there is still ample room with approximately 60 live action tables covering various forms of entertainment such as blackjack (7 varieties including a “Baccarat” variant called “Lucky Ladies”), craps, roulette (both American and French), three-card poker, Let It Ride, baccarat and Pai Gow Poker. Notably absent are some standard offerings like video keno.

The electronic gaming section encompasses 2,400 slot machines covering various themes along with video poker options and their multiple variations such as “Jacks or Better,” Double Bonus,” Jacks or Higher” and an array of progressive jackpot slots.

Poker Room

Seminole Coconut Creek features a poker room called Seminole Poker Club offering daily tournaments for players across all skill levels – beginner-friendly and high-stakes alike, catering to Texas Hold’em enthusiasts with the variety of games held there throughout each day.

The live tournament offerings range from relatively cheap buy-in options of less than $100 up through major events costing upwards of several thousand dollars per entry fee. It also boasts a robust collection of cash tables playing everything from 1/2 cent NLH to high-stakes ($10/$20 no-limit hold’em). An all-time record for daily entries was reported in January 2020.

Hotel and Accommodations

Accommodation facilities at Seminole Coconut Creek are relatively minimalist with only approximately forty (40) guest rooms available. These contain multiple amenities, including flat-screen TVs, mini-refrigerators and microwaves but no pool or hot tub is present within the hotel itself for guests to use during their stay here.

Dining and Entertainment Options

Guests at Seminole Coconut Creek have a variety of dining options from which they can choose:

  • B-Bar (a contemporary American cuisine buffet featuring both sit-down meal service) & Grill restaurant offering extensive views overlooking water courses on premises located nearby – New
    • Hard Rock Cafe
  • The Dania Jai Alai Cafe

Guests seeking some form of amusement or leisure beyond gaming may engage in either slots area viewing with seating available from inside while they watch events outside.
